What a disappointment.I am a huge Kitchenaid fan and I can't believe the poor quality of this toaster oven.As others have said, the finish is poor...the paint is not smooth and is chipping off around the oven door straight out of the box.The stainless steel trim is rough and cheap looking; it seems poorly machined.As for the performance, toasting is totally aggravating since the top element gets MUCH hotter than the bottom.The timer is cheap and the "ticking" is annoying.When the timer ends, the bell is out of synch.There is no on/off switch; just the timer to control the oven.I expected MUCH more from a toaster oven in this price range.I was happier with my old Toastmaster that cost about $40 and lasted for years.You can do much better than this for considerably less money.
