Cuisinart CSC-650 Slow Cooker Review

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this slow cooker.

America's Test Kitchen recommends West Bend Versatility slow cooker. It is a truly versatile model, but I didn't like its aluminum insert. As you may know, aluminum can be hazardous to health, so this slow cooker was scratched off my list pretty quickly.

The other models I looked at were All-Clad Stainless Steel Slow Cooker (available from William Sonoma only), Farberware Millennium (also recommended by America's Test Kitchen), Cuisinart CSC-650 and various Rival models ("various Rival models" has an interesting ring to it :) ).

All of the latest slow cookers are made in China, so I was somewhat concerned about the construction quality. One of the main reasons I picked Cuisinart model was a 3-year warranty, compared to just 1 year for the rest of the competition.

Another factor was the generally positive feedback from CSC-650 owners. Cooking.com is probably a better place to check for reviews, because they let you post a review only if you actually purchased that particular item from them.

I had this baby delivered to me about a week ago, and I put it to work right away. I must say I am satisfied with my purchase decision. Having said that, here's a list of things that I do and don't like about this machine...

Do Like:
--------
- 3-year warranty (1 year for every other slow cooker I researched)

- retractable cord (I wish every appliance had it!)

- cooks well (overall), and no, it doesn't burn food as some reviewers have indicated

- construction quality seems to be good, although it is impossible to say for sure until appliance is a couple of years old

Don't Like:
-----------
- stainless steel housing gets stained quite easily, should have been more fingerprint-resistant

- "Made in China": $99 is a premium price to pay for an item that was manufactured using cheap labor; manufacturers who reap huge profits from the North American market should invest into the local labor market

- cooks most things faster than recipies (even the ones included in Cuisinart booklet) indicate, so you have to keep an eye on your food to make sure it doesn't overcook

After purchasing the slow cooker, I headed straight to the local bookstore to pick up a recipe book. I skimmed through about 6-7 titles, and ended up buying Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker Cookbook by Beth Hensperger and Julie Kaufmann. Most of its recipies are made from scratch and rarely use any canned ingridients. It also seems to have the best overall collection of recipies.

Yesterday, I had a few friends over and we had ourselves a feast. I cooked quite a few things in the slow cooker:

- Lamb Goulash (which was ruined/overcooked - the first thing I ever done in this slow cooker)

- Chicken Casseatore (not sure about spelling, it's from the Cuisinart booklet) came out nicely, it was around the time that I started looking closely after the cooking process.

- Short Ribs In Red Wine were perfect, here, again, the cooking time was 5 hours instead of 7 hours indicated in the recipe.

Overall, I am happy. I didn't experience any of the problems reported by some reviewers. I can safely recommend this appliance.

Krups SS-185293 Broil Pan Review

This pan came with my Krups convection oven toaster. While the toaster is great, this pan is not. I broiled a steak on it, and when I tried to clean it off the next morning, the coating came off with the little burnt on pieces. I was using my fingers to pick off the burnt pieces, not a utensil, and the coating just flaked off under each burned part. Not a good product.

Krups 185291 Wire Rack Review

I have the KRUPS toaster oven (bought at Amazon) and use it 1-3 x day.When I was diagnosed to be gluten & casein sensitive I did NOT want to buy a new toaster for me.(Cross-contamination is critical for me to avoid.)Then I realized I could simply buy a new rack (and crumb tray), and switch it out when I want to toast GF bread.(The other option of putting food on a piece of foil doesn't work for toast!).Now I'm back to using my wonderful toaster oven.This item came well packaged and delivered fast.

Black & Decker Extra Large Countertop Toast R Oven Review

This Black and Decker Extra Large Toaster Oven more than lives up to its name.It readily takes a 12" pizza.It seems to cook more thoroughly and rapidly than expected, certainly better than the elderly Oven it replaced.Yet, it takes up just about the same amount of counter space.

But, it toasts unevenly and the dial for Toast or Temperature is difficult to read.

Black & Decker TRO910W 4-Slice Toast-R-Oven, White Review

I shopped and shopped and compared and compared before buying a toaster oven.(It drove my husband nuts that I spent so much time on a 40-dollar item...)I wanted something to cook small portions of things like fish sticks, pizzas, tater tots, etc., without heating up the big oven.I finally settled on this B&D TRO910W model and am so pleased that I did.I have had it for about four months now, and it does the job perfectly.It comes with one wire rack that can be adjusted to two heights, plus a "mini broiler pan" (pan with a separate rack inside it w/ holes to drain) and also a little handle-thingy that you use to remove the pan from the oven.This handle grabs the pan very securely and I have not burned my fingers once (and I saw on several other reviews of Black & Decker toaster ovens that this was an issue for some people, but I can't imagine why.)I do not use it for toast at all so I can't speak for that.The interior will hold a small pizza (no bigger than 10-inch diameter.)I haven't spilled anything yet and no toast crumbs so I have not had to clean it, but it seems like it would be easy -- it has a tray below that you pull out from outside the door to clean.

As another reviewer noted, the picture Amazon has on here for the TRO910W is not what it actually looks like.It does have the curved front glass door as pictured, but there are only three large white plastic knob/controls -- one for toast darkness setting light-medium-dark, one is the timer (up to 60 min.), and one selects between toaster or oven functions and also then sets the temperature if you select "oven" instead of "toast." It has a light on the front that indicates when it is turned on.The only thing it lacks that I really miss is that there is no indicator to let you know when it has pre-heated to the proper temperature -- I wish it would "ding" or have a light that goes out like a waffle iron or something.As it is, I just watch it until the burners stop glowing and then I figure it must be pre-heated.I have not measured the temps with a thermometer but it seems to be accurate, and it preheats quickly enough for me (faster than the big oven anyway, which was my goal.)

One other small thing about the appearance -- the color is not a true "bright white," it is more like a very very light bisque, which turned out to be a perfect match in my kitchen as all my other appliances are bisque.It is very very close to white, though, and would be fine in a white kitchen -- it doesn't look "dirty" or discolored or off-white.

All in all, I'm very pleased with this oven.There were many more I looked at that were way more expensive, but for forty bucks it does exactly what I need.

TOASTMASTER TOASTER WHT Review

Pros:
It has a nice design. I like the chrome on the top because it minimizes burning as you see with other toasters that are painted white all over.
The toaster functions well. Not the greatest for bagels because the outer layer will burn.

Cons:
The item stopped working after 11 months. The lever would no longer lock down to turn the toaster on.

Waring Commercial Convection Oven: Half-Size - 1.5 cubic feet Review

I bought this oven to make cookies for my start-up cookie business, but so far, it's not been working very well. Some cookies are burned and others raw. The instructions say to rotate the pans halfway through -- which is annoying -- but that doesn't really solve the problem either. On a half-size sheet pan, you can usually get 4 or 5 rows of cookies and the rows in the middle are raw while the outside rows are dark on the outside edge (closest to the fan in back). Unless you rotated each individual cookie, you won't be able to get even browning. I'll keep trying, but so far, this has been a big disappointment and waste of a lot of money.

Black & Decker TRO651B 4-Slice Non-Stick Toast-R-Oven and Broiler Review

I got this toaster oven & have had a *few* problems with it...

Problem #1: after cleaning the toaster oven the first time, almost all of the numbers and markings rubbed off

Problem # 2: the door handle detached from the glass door within 2 weeks

Problem #3: the toaster oven and the sides of the handle get quite hot (which, aside from posing a fire hazard, is a big deal when the handle falls off when you are checking on food--you have to put it back on...)

Problem #4: there have been at least 2 fires inside the toaster

Problem #5: the baking mechanism broke so I can only toast (the blue indicator light does not light up when the oven is on bake & the toaster does not bake)

Problem #6: the toaster alternates between taking forever to toast a piece of toast and quickly burning it

Problem #7: the toaster toasts unevenly (I flipped my bread over half way through the cycle to make sure the sides got toasted more evenly)

Problem #8: the baking mechanism did not work if the timer was not off (the blue light will not even go on)

Problem #9 (more of an annoyance): if your toaster is unplugged & you turn the toaster knob on, the toaster will make the toasting sound (so you come back thinking you will have toast but in fact, the oven was never on)

Well, I just ordered a new toaster because it is *difficult* (to say the least) to use this toaster, seeing as it has no numbers, markings, baking mechanism, and has a hot handle that falls off... not to mention the little fires it starts and the fire hazard it obviously poses.

I figure Black & Decker knows about the fire hazard because the door has instructions of what to do if there is a fire inside the toaster (it says to close the toaster door & unplug it... it omits the important step of turn toaster off before unplugging--all consumers need is also the threat of electricution when using this defective product).

After just 3 or 4 months in my possesion, this Black & Decker toaster will be let to rest/thrown away (3-4 months after it should have been). Please do not donate this toaster to Goodwill or to the needy if (I mean, when) you have problems with it--throw it away, it's quite useless & a hazard.

Salton/Toastmaster TCOV6R Toastmaster .98 Cu. Ft. Convection Oven Review

This is the perfect oven for me.I have to cook from a wheelchair.The door opens from the side so I don't have to reach over a hot door.The door also comes off easily for cleaning.The door coming off also makes the unit lighter to move around.This is the new model and has some improvements.My old one did not have a light or convection or rotisseri.I had my old one for 25 years and was very glad to find that Toastmaster still makes them.The new one has an extension in the back so you can use 12 inch round pans such as a pizza pan.I bake and broil everything in this oven.It works great.Of course it is too small for a very large turkey but you will be surpirsed what you can fit into it.It is very nice looking.The exterior is all stainless steel and very well made. I don't think you will be disappointed with this oven.

Ibc Hearthware 20331 "Nuwave" Pro Infrared Oven Review

This is the best small appliance purchase that I have ever made! I absolutely love this little oven. I have been able to cook anything from a pizza to brownies in it. It is very easy to clean after each use and doesn't require any type of scrubbing or special cleaners to bring it back to its original condition. This is the perfect gadget for a single person that likes to cook one meal at a time. This is also the perfect remedy for anyone that has a gas range but hates to cook on it (like me). I ordered this because I moved into an apartment that had a gas oven, which I hate to use, so I thought this would be a great low cost cooking alternative. I couldn't have been more right! This has turned out to be the best little find and money well spent. I use it everyday and will be ordering a replacement whenever I run this one into the ground. I have had it for about a year, but it shows no signs of wearing out. In addition, this would make a great gift for parents that don't want their kids using the stove when they aren't home, but still want to allow them the freedom to cook for themselves. This would also make a perfect gift for anyone that is trying to watch their weight, because it doesn't require you to use any cooking oil. The only con that I have found is that you have to use it on an open counter top, because the lid flips off for adding your food and needs a good bit of clearance. I have about a 15 1/2' clearance between the base of my cabinets and the counter tops, so I have to pull the oven out to the edge to be able to put the lid on the stand. With the cabinet clearance being the only con, all I can say is "ORDER IT, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED."

DeLonghi EO1251 6-Slice 1/2-Cubic-Foot Convection Oven, Black and Stainless Steel Review

This appliance works quite well both as an oven as well as a toaster but does not really cut cooking times by 40%. For example, the manual states 50 minutes for a baked potato. In actual experience that's about how long it took but it's also about the same amount of time as it takes in my conventional oven. That option uses more electricity, however, so it's a better value to use this one for small meals. The same thing goes for taquitos, pies, and similar snacks. They take a little less time than a conventional oven but nowhere near 40% less, though the convection cooking does make things a bit crisper when you're looking for that feature.

The smaller oven gets up to heat much faster than a full size one does, of course, saving some electricity that way too. It seems to have a cold spot near the glass door which is particularly noticable when cooking pies (which, by the way, are the only thing that seems to cook ~30% faster than normal). Rotating them about halfway through the cooking process resolves that problem for the most part.

The advertising states that it comes with a non-stick bake pan and a non-stick broil tray. The pan and tray are included but they are not non-stick. The interior coating, however, is except for the crumb tray. The variable temperature goes up to 450 which is sufficient for most applications. It broils well, toasts okay, and has a very quite and efficient convection motor.

The dial controls are cheap plastic so I'm not sure how long they'll last. I've only had it for a few weeks at this point and they're doing okay but I'm conscious about delicacy in handling them. It comes with two racks yet it's so small inside I've yet to find a combination of anything other than toast that allows me to use both of them. The advertising/picture makes it look much larger than it really is.

All in all I'm happy with the unit and at the Amazon discount/free shipping with the price too. There's no way I'd pay full "retail" price though... I'm also a little disappointed about the accuracy of the product descrition and the overall speed of cooking however. It is, without a doubt, a huge improvement over a conventional toaster oven.

There is no way that this oven can hold heat properly, as the back of it is just a thin sheet of metal.There are double walls on the sides and top, but the bottom is another thin sheet of steel with a drip tray above.The timer shuts off at the 5-7 minute mark without chiming, so the appliance cuts off without warning - clearly a defect.If you don't use the timer, turn the oven on, and give the oven time to heat up, then it will cook a piece of frozen pizza in the normal time.The convection fan doesn't seem to do anything.

DeLonghi EO1270B 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven Review

Cooks well and evenly -- I even believe the fan shaves off may be five minutes of cook time. Seems well built and knobs are easy to use/figure out. My only minus is with the main oven rack. It seems a little short or flimsy as when any weight is applied and then it is slid in/out, it comes off of the track. I haven't had any food fall as it gets wedged low. It's just annoying and may eventually scrape the interior oven coating.

Krups 0925105 Oven Broiling Pan Review

While Krup Toaster ovens are high price and high performance, the broiler pans have a fragile teflon coating that scratches off easily.First time in the dishwasher left significant scratches.Obviously shouldn't use metal tools when broiling with this etc.Pity that Krup diddn't include either a porcelain or stainless steel finish.Only positive about this pan is that lacking a durable finish is that it is cheap.

Hamilton Beach 31180 Convection Oven Review

This is a great little oven. It perfectly toast's and the convection is great. I made boneless skinless chicken breast and it didn't dry out-it got a nice browned color on the suface after it cooked the appropriate time frame. It's senseless to heat up the kitchen with the regular oven-so this works wonders. It's got a lot of room inside and the crumb tray is removeable, making it easy to clean. The 2 racks that come with it is really handy when you have 3 people and toast to make for all 3 at the same time. The other toaster oven I had before this one only had one rack and not enough room.
It's really easy to use and so far works really great. I was a little hesitant to order it at first because there were no reviews on it, but I took a chance and I'm glad I did.

Toastmaster 328BC 6-Slice Toaster Oven/Broiler with Bagel Switch Review

After over a decade of trustworthy service my Black and Decker finally gave up the ghost. With a lot of research I selected this as its replacement. I have not been disappointed. Things I love about this toaster oven:
-2 racks! I can bake off a tray of salad croutons and another of almonds at the same time. Or cook breakfast sausages and finish a frittata - at the same time.Or keep two plates of dinner warm - at the same time! This has been really handy for all kinds of things when I'm in a hurry and don't want to be juggling (small) hot pans.
-The timer. No need to worry about burning the pine nuts again. Just set the timer and the oven turns off when the time runs out. Easy.
-Great size for my fairly small kitchen. An 8" sauté pan fits inside with the oven door only open a little for the handle to stick out. This is great for finishing dishes under the broiler. Similarly, to heat or hold food, dinner plates fit in without a problem. Considering this, it takes up much less countertop than many other models with similar interior space. (I haven't tried 6 slices of toast, but 4 is no problem).
-It looks and feels pretty good. I went to several stores to look at the design and check out the feel of as many items as possible before purchasing. This is actually how I found the Toastmaster. Initially it wasn't even on my list, short or otherwise. The Toastmaster holds it's own against any toaster in the price range, and I even preferred it over the DiLonghi. Its lines are simple and understated, the knobs feel sturdy, not like they'll fall off in a month, and the door opens and closes nicely.
Things I don't love:
-Maybe a little complicated to use, but if you can drive a car you can certainly work this toaster before your morning coffee has kicked in. The section on how to toast bread actually took almost two pages in the instruction manual! However, all that text translates to a few basic steps, and I'm making toast just fine, except for my next point...
-Uneven broiling. Portions at the back of the unit definitely get darker than those at the front. This means you might want to rotate things halfway through, but for me neither unevenness nor rotating is really a big deal, so this doesn't bother me too much. The trade in capacity and overall product quality is worth it.

Oster TSSTTR4SLL Black 4-Slice Long Slot Toaster Review

Had a serious wake up call this morning.At 6:30am, was awakened by smoke detectors going off.Followed the heavy smoke to the kitchen where our toaster was in full flames, most of the plastic was burning, the cabinets were very hot and dense electrical smell.Was able to unplug the toaster, cord falling apart in my hand, and put the fire out.Counter was ruined, as well as part of the cabinet.No one was around or up at that time.From what I can determine, the toaster just caught flames due to an electrical short in the controls.I am glas I did not go anywhere for the holiday weekend, or I would have come home to a burned out apt.I do not recommend this toaster unless you wish to set fire to the place.

Cuisinart TOB-30 Classic Toaster Oven Broiler Review

I can't say enough good things about this oven. What I like most about it is its exceptional toasting ability...slices come out toasted evenly every time.And if you want to stop the toasting process, just press "stop," which is a welcome change from other toasters where a dial has to be almost forced back into the "off" position.It also functions very well in the baking mode...preheats fast too.
Its polished chrome exterior gives it an upscale look and is different from the typical white/cream color that can eventually become stained/burned looking with time.If this was in a "Survivor" of toasters, it would surely outlast the competition.I've had two Delonghis in the past that performed poorly, and Krups (though pretty reliable) just doesn't look as good.Works great and looks great too.What more can you ask for?

DeLonghi XA660 Alfredo Accutime 6-Slice Toaster Oven Review

We purchased this toaster oven with a giftcard & after reading positive reviews about the brand.Normally we dont pay this kind of money but we figured we'd splurge with the giftcard.

Within a month we had problems.It sometimes wouldn't turn on but it was very inconsistant.After the 4th month, sparks were shooting out of the side & it quit working altogether.

We contacted Delonghi since it was under warrenty.They advised to take it to the nearest service center.We live in the Bay area and surprisingly, the nearest center was 90 minutes away, one way.We called them and they said we could send it in instead of bring it, but at our expense.We sent it and no one was there to get it so it sat at the post office for a week.No one from the service center has ever returned any of my phone calls & they told Delongi they never got any notification of any deliveries.I finally complained to Delonghi and had the PO redeliver it.Delonghi claims the center now has it but repairs take up to SIX WEEKS.

The oven broke perminantly in early December and between shipping & waiting it has already been a month.Now I am told I have to wait an additional six weeks.For the price you pay, the fact that this thing was sparking and could have caught my house on fire and that their "service" center has ingored all my calls you would think that they would do a little more for me.So far we are out a $100. gift card and another $20 to ship this item to be repaired.We have also been a month and now likely to be two months with no appliance.I dont know about you, but when I want toast, I want toast.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on ANY Delonghi product, they have no real service to back up the hard earned money you pay for their lacking products.Look at my other reviews, I'm usually quite generous, but this product is seriously lacking and hazardous to boot.I am sending a note to the CPSC as well.

DeLonghi EO1238 1/2-Cubic-Foot 6-Slice Toaster Oven, Stainless Steel Review

Right out of the box I knew I was in trouble- toaster is lightweight, which is not a good thing for an appliance. Also, the toaster is not nearly as stylish as I expected- esp. for a brushed stainless steel model. The ends seem to be made of plastic?? but the worst thing is: you cannot read the knobs! The black writing on the shiny chrome is impossible to read in my kitchen. Most toasters put the writing on the toaster itself-so you can set the dial to the desired setting. Not so with this one, and the knobs are cheap looking- also I didn't realize that there was no time setting, only a setting for dark-light toast. How do you time a pizza???? My old one had a 20 minute timer that automatically went off when you were done.(this is entirely my fault for not checking- just threw that in in case somebody wanted to know)

I hate to post a bad review- esp. since this is my first one. I do a lot of research before I buy online, and I always read other reviews first. I have to say I'm really disappointed in this toaster- I was looking forward to a toaster oven with "cool touch" sides as it is hard to find. I'll keep looking.

This is a great little oven.It reaches temperature fast and it stays at temperature.The convection oven fan is a little noisy, but not annoying.The rotisserie feature works great, but don't expect to do any large items.Cornish hens is the limit or a very small chicken. This oven works great for drying peppers.I use my drying racks from my old Toastmaster convection oven.

Four Slice Toaster Oven with Timer Review

I bought this toaster oven in early January and by the second week of September - after very moderate use - it had died. I used it to make toast most mornings and 1-2 times a week used the broiler or oven function for fries or things like tuna melts. One day when I turned it on there was a strange, chemical, burning smell and it just stopped working. My previous toaster oven (different brand) worked great for over a decade - wish I could replace it!

West Bend Countertop Convection Oven - 74766 Review

I wrote two reviews for this oven because I ended up purchasing it twice. The first one shocked me with its terrible functioning, but as of purchasing the second one, I have no complaints with its operation (thus far). I wonder if these ovens suffer from some quality control issues. In order, here are my reviews:

Review #1: This is quite possibly one of the worst appliances I have ever bought in my life and I seriously hope my model is simply defective.

(1) It entire oven itself shakes and buzzes. The vibrations are terrible.
(2) The glass door touches the front of the oven and makes a loud buzzing noise. If you push against the handle, it quiets down a bit, but it's still as loud as a hair dryer. Not a comforting noise, especially listening from another room. I would say it's like listening to a bathroom fan or a jackhammer (from 2 blocks away).
(3) The fan is noisy. It starts and stutters and makes noises as if it is hitting the metal enclosure inside. If you've ever run your finger against a fan to hear the whup-whup-whup noise it makes, then you know what it sounds like. Except it's against metal, which is more worrisome.

I was so excited when I bought it and now I'm just disgusted and sad instead. It was originally going to get 1 star because it cooked food as it was supposed to. I gave it another star for having options and features. But with an oven this noisy, it's not worth it. Especially if you're paying full price. I'm glad that I paid 1/3 of what it is listed at, at a Dept. Store. However, I nearly jumped out of my skin from fright when I started it and it is going back tomorrow.

Extra note: Is it operator-error or an imbalanced countertop? I pulled out the contractor's level to double-check. My counter top is perfectly level, it was not sitting on anything unbalanced, and it was not touching any other appliances. It's the oven.

Review #2: So being the ever-lasting optimist (or just someone who can't let a good deal go), I purchased another one. I noticed that one leg was shorter than the others, and created an imbalance, but decided to try it anyway. When I clicked the "on" switch and turned the dial to 400 degrees, I held my breath, stepped back, and cringed... but the fan turned on with a gentle and not unpleasant whir. This was markedly different than the last 74766 I purchased, which buzzed and rattled. So I conclude that perhaps it was just a quality control issue. But at the price these were originally sold at, I would have hoped there were no issues! However, now that the mechanical issues are out of the way, I can finally review the oven itself.

It starts up relatively quietly and works well, has several features, though I didn't see a rotisserie option - that is in a different model, but it broils, bakes, and toasts. It comes with a very handy metal pizza disc, and can accommodate up to 12" pizzas and a whole roaster chicken; mind you - not at the same time. It is a bit large but not more than any 1.7 cubic ft. microwave, plus, it's shorter. There is a removable tray at the bottom (pulls out at the front for cleaning) and it comes in stainless or black knobs. I like the auto-shutoff timer option, and prefer the old-fashioned knobs to a digital interface. The oven itself seems sturdy enough, and has a nice metal handle (not plastic like others). It cooked quickly and relatively quietly. I am looking forward to roasting chickens and prepping dishes without needing my regular oven. But I can guarantee that I will be watching this oven closely for mechanical defects, which I'm sad about. If you buy something, you hope not to worry about it breaking! Nevertheless, if you're not paying full price for this oven, it's worth a try. Just buy two ;)

George Foreman™ 8-in-1 Toaster Oven/Broiler Review

In the summer wanted to cook downstairs where it is cooler.The only problem with that plan was the fact that there is no oven or stove downstairs in the guest-quarters.

I moved the BBQ downstairs, bought a microwave, a single-unit electric hot-plate, but still I needed to bake things especially in the winter when BBQ'ing isn't much fun.

I found this George Foreman's Toaster Oven at Amazon.I paid less than $90 for it.

IT IS WONDERFUL!It is so wonderful that I bought one for the formal kitchen upstairs, too!We hardly ever use the built-in oven anymore.The house stays cool because this little oven just doesn't throw off the excess heat as the built-in does.

A9" x 9" baking dish fits perfectly.The Pyrex Bakeware 2-1/2-Quart Oval Roaster (8.5" x 10")and the 2-quart Pyrex covered casserole bowl fits, too!

One more thing: its broiler sure makes lovely cinnamon toast on those cold snowy winter nights.Coupled with a mug of hot chocolate... awww yes.

Kitchen Gourmet Toaster Oven Broiler Review

I just bought this thing and it is horrible. It barely toasts bread and leaves one burnt grill mark on the bread while the rest of it isn't even toasted. The worst part about it is that it makes the bread smell like aluminum and I believe it is unsanitary.

Black & Decker TRO407 Toast-R-Oven 4-Slice Convection Toaster Oven Review

I wanted a basic but reliable toaster oven. An older Black and Decker version we loved finally gave in and I purchased this one after reading one positive review. I absolutely hate this oven. The timer slips and stops clicking but does not turn the over off. It is a fire hazard. A few times the oven kept toasting and I finally noticed the smoke and burning smell. I usually use the "light" or "medium" setting but one of us has to literally stand next to the oven while toasting to manually turn it off. I wish I returned it right away.

Euro-pro To284 1200 Watts Toaster Oven Review

I bought this oven because of the large interior to replace another brand with a smaller inside. We needed one to hold a 1 1/2 qt Corning-ware baking dish with its lid on. It works great for that and baking in general, but it is terrible at toasting bread because the heating elements do not stay on like a regular toaster; they cycle on and off like an annoying electrical stove. Not only that, but they take a long time to heat up to toasting temperature, even after ensuring that the settings are correct [you have to remember to set two knobs]. When the toast is finally ready [?], it is more like baked through than toasted on the surface. Now I'm debating whether or not to buy a regular toaster for when I want toast ... when the whole idea of a toaster oven is to eliminate one appliance.

West Bend 76006 Rotary Snack Oven Review

I'm glad we bought this oven. It makes my kitchen look a lot better than a toaster oven that I used for the same purpose, heating up frozen pizza, snack and such. It also cook faster and more evenly than regular oven. West Bend has another version of this oven for almost double the price. I almost picked the other oven but after some research, I found that this one does the same job as the new version and cost a lot lest. 4 stars because the inside is a bit low, I burned a few snack. Have to get used to it a bit more.
