Upon receiving this highly rated toaster oven, we started the initial use procedure of running the oven for 15 minutes, to remove any possible manufacturing residues from the appliance as per the owners manual.Approximately ten minutes into this process, the glass door on the front of the toaster oven shattered outwards from the oven, spraying glass across the kitchen counter and onto the floor.
Fortunately, my wife, who was standing in front of and looking directly at the oven when this happened, was far enough away to avoid being hit in the face by the flying glass.New owners beware.
